About the Author
Since 1985, the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) has been the world leader in developing and disseminating information on process safety management and technology. CCPS, an industry technology alliance of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), has published over 80 books in its process safety guidelines and process safety concepts series.
A team of CCPS member volunteer experts guided the development of this book, which was compiled by Randal Montgomery and Andrew Remson under contract. Messrs. Montgomery and Remson have helped facilities develop and implement MI programs and have instructed hundreds of engineers and process safety professionals on the topic.

Outstanding reference, don't start an MI program without reviewing the information in this book first.

Excellent technical reference for anyone trying to implement or upgrade a mechanical integrity program. The section on equipment specific integrity management was exactly what I was looking for. It summarizes input from multiple standards and codes to provide a clear basis for how to justify what, how frequently and why you are doing the things in your mechanical integrity program. I wish someone had told me about this reference six months ago, it would have saved me a lot of work.

Kindle users beware!

Good information though it was not what I was looking for. I wanted specific ITPM procedures and frequencies. Not here. This is a higher level.
Information still very good and is a valuable resource.
But most of the tables are pictures and turned on their side. I could find out how to rotate them.
So two issues:
1. had to rotate my monitor to read the tables
2. Could not copy paste to make a list of the API standards that I wanted.

Excellent Resource for MI Systems

I read this book in order to get a complete grasp of Mechanical Integrity and how to help implement it in my company. After reading this, we bought six more copies to distribute to the others attempting to implement MI at our facility. Excellent resource!!
